Xavier Scholarship

The Xavier Scholars Program

The Francis Xavier, S.J. Scholarship is available to students from ethnically diverse backgrounds who meet specific criteria. This unique program promotes academic excellence, fosters unity, and provides leadership and service opportunities.

This program was designed to offer a Jesuit education and leadership opportunities to set the world on fire through faith and service. Xavier scholarship awards are renewable each year contingent upon a student’s excellent citizenship, academic performance, and service.

Students can earn up to $3,000 toward tuition as they serve and commit to growth in their personal, spiritual, and intellectual development. To be considered for this scholarship, a separate application must be submitted beginning November 1, with priority given to those who apply by December 1.

The 2029 Xavier Scholarship Recipients will be notified by the Selection Committee by February 1, 2025.  The number of awards and the amounts of each recipient’s award will be at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

About St. Francis Xavier, S.J. • (Zay-vure)
St. Xavier is one of the greatest missionaries of all time. He was a companion of the founder of the Jesuits, St. Ignatius Loyola, and they were peers at the University of Paris in the 1520s. When Ignatius missioned Xavier to the East, he did so with the words, “set the world on fire.” Xavier did, as he traveled across the globe to embrace other cultures and share the love of Christ.
